Acceptance of Terms

By using 선생님 (Korean Teacher Bot) or any other Minimalsoft product, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Service Description

선생님 is a Discord bot that provides Korean language learning tools. The service includes:

• Free tier: Korean dictionary lookups, example sentences, and hanja references powered by the Korean Learners' Dictionary (krdict) API
• Premium tier: AI-powered tutoring features including chat, word explanations, sentence breakdowns, translations, and example sentence generation

Free Tier

Free features are available to all users without an account or subscription. These features rely on the Korean Learners' Dictionary (krdict) public API and do not use AI. Availability depends on the krdict API service.

Premium Subscription

Premium features require an active subscription purchased through Discord. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly at the listed price through Discord's payment system
• Payment processing, invoicing, and refunds are handled by Discord and governed by Discord's terms
• Premium includes up to 100 AI tutoring sessions per day, resetting at midnight UTC
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through Discord; access continues until the end of the billing period

AI-Powered Features

Premium features use AI language models to generate responses. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unnatural phrasing
• The service is a supplementary learning tool and not a substitute for professional language instruction
• AI features depend on third-party services and may be unavailable due to outages, maintenance, capacity limits, or changes to those services

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service responsibly. You may not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to generate harmful content
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, subscription checks, or other access controls
• Use automated tools to send excessive requests to the bot

Intellectual Property

The 선생님 bot, its code, and its design are the property of Minimalsoft LLC. Dictionary data is provided by the National Institute of Korean Language (krdict). AI-generated responses are not claimed as our intellectual property.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate. We are not responsible for any learning outcomes or decisions made based on information provided by the bot.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minimalsoft LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or service interruptions.

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. This includes changes to free and premium features, usage limits, and the availability of AI-powered functionality. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service for users who violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. If you have an active subscription, cancellation is handled through Discord.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
